The subject areas and functions into which the subjects on the Degree Course are organised are:

Means of expression, to master the language of form, composition, drawing, colour, volume, etc., and to have resources for creation in any of the design fields relevant to the course.

Graphic expression, to know and apply the representation techniques and conventions of design projects (descriptive geometry, technical drawing, originals, mock-ups and prototypes, etc.).

IT, to know and make expert use of the necessary graphic representation programs in the project process and in the presentation of design projects.

Technology, to master the field of materials and production processes, incorporating them in the decisions of the design process and knowing how to monitor them in the construction, manufacture, printing and other phases of projects.

Projects, in order to train the student in the project method, integrating knowledge and skills in all subject areas. The project is a fundamental part of the actual practice of design.

Design processes, to solve design problems in specific areas of activity on the basis of the knowledge of the requirements and particular characteristics of each sector of activity.

Design culture, to provide the student with historical, theoretical and methodical knowledge of the social sciences, and introduce them to the analysis and critique of works and their production and reception contexts.

Business, to have knowledge relating to professional and business culture, with fundamental aspects of applied economics and organisation, with their legislative framework, etc., and aid the process of the student’s professionalisation.
